The Chicago mayoral election is held every four years to elect the mayor of Chicago, Illinois. The election is held on the first Tuesday in February of the year following the presidential election. The mayor is elected to a four-year term and is limited to two consecutive terms. The current mayor of Chicago is Lori Lightfoot, who was elected in 2019. The next mayoral election will be held in 2023.
